This website contains information about chronic pain and other conditions for general guidance only. This is not medical advice and should not be treated as if it is.
You should always consult with your doctor to make sure that your condition does not require medical intervention and that an approach that includes a consideration of the role the mind plays in your symptoms is acceptable. You should also make sure your doctor approves of any changes in activities that you might be thinking about as a result of information on this website or during therapy.
We don’t offer any specific recommendations about the use of medications or about changing your use of medications. Any decision to alter or stop your medication must be made between yourself and your doctor. We can’t stress this enough – stopping certain medications can cause physical or psychological symptoms if the process is not managed carefully.
